Biographical notes:
William Reid gained his medical qualifications, MB ChB Glasgow, in 1933. Now retired, he was formerly Consultant Surgeon at Glasgow Royal Infirmary. He was admitted a Fellow of the Royal Faculty of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow in 1947 (FRCS Glasg 1962).
