Biographical notes:

Burlington Quarterly Meeting was established by Philadelphia Yearly Meeting in 1682. Two Burlington Quarterly Meetings were established in 1827, at the time of the Separation in Philadelphia Yearly Meeting. In 1898, Burlington Quarterly Meeting (Orthodox) merged with Bucks Quarterly Meeting (Orthodox) to form Burlington and Bucks Quarterly Meeting. In 1955, Burlington Quarterly Meeting (Hicksite) merged with Burlington and Bucks Quarterly Meeting (Orthodox). The meetings in New Jersey were then transferred to the reunited Burlington Quarterly Meeting, and the Pennsylvania Meetings to Bucks Quarterly Meeting.
