Biographical notes:
The company was incorporated in London, England on November 15, 1892. On October 27, 1905 a service agreement between Chesapeake and Ohio Steamship Company, Limited, Chesapeake and Ohio Railway Company, Norfolk and Western Railway Company, and Southern Railway Company.
The 1905 service agreement provided maintenance of steamship services between London, Liverpool, and Newport News and /or Norfolk, VA. On the same day a supplement agreement between Cheasapeake and Ohio Steamship Company, Limited and Chesapeake and Ohio Railway Company.
