Biographical notes:

The City and Suburban Railway Company was organized in 1882 to take over the franchises of the Savannah, Skidaway, and Seaboard Railway. It specialized in developing resort facilities at Thunderbolt, Montgomery, and Isle of Hope. Another railroad involved was the Coast Line Railroad Company. Individuals involved in these papers are George Parsons of New York, President (formerly president of the Atlantic Coast Line Railroad Company), succeeded by James H. Johnston of Savannah, President and Treasurer, David G. Purse, James Atkins, and Maxine J. Des Vergers.
