Biographical notes:

According to The Oxford Companion to the Literature of Wales, Brut y Tywysogion is a chronicle of the princes, beginning with the death of Cadwaladr Fendigaid in 682 and ending with the death of Llywelyn ap Gruffydd in 1282. The chronicle is found in two versions which are translations of a lost Latin text written as a continuation of Geoffrey of Monmouth's Historia Regum Britanniae .

For further details, consult the published versions, edited by Thomas Jones.
