Eastern Colorado Power Company (Boulder Canyon, Colo.)
Biographical notes:
According to an article in the Boulder Daily Camera of 4 Aug. 1960, the Boulder County Hydroelectric Project was begun in 1906 by the Eastern Colorado Power Company. The economic depression of 1907 halted construction work, which resumed in 1909 under the auspices of the Central Colorado Power Company.
Work on the project proceeded in various phases, including construction of the Barker and Kossler dams and reservoirs, laying of a 36" reinforced concrete gravity pipeline 11.7 miles between the two reservoirs, and building a hydroelectric power plant at the terminus of a steel penstock in Boulder Canyon.
