Becker family.
Biographical notes:
Pioneer merchants, established Becker Mercantile Store in Springerville, Ariz. in 1876. Gustav, and his son, Julius W., managed the store for more than eighty years. Gustav was an advocate for highway construction in Arizona, and served as U.S. Postmaster, school trustee, and president of Round Valley Light and Power Co. and Round Valley Bank. Julius and his father were instrumental in building the White Mountain Hospital. Julius also owned the J. Becker Cattle Co.
