Redington, George, 1798-1850
Biographical notes:
Redington was a prominent businessman in Waddington, St. Lawrence County, N.Y. He initially began his career as a lawyer, but later became heavily interested in the lumber trade. Redington also had large real estate holdings in St. Lawrence County. He served as a New York State Assemblyman, representing St. Lawrence County, and was later appointed a county judge. At Redington's death in 1850, his brother James assumed direction of his diverse business interests.
