Biographical notes:
The company was incorporated in Ohio April 11, 1864. July 26, 1867 changed name to Columbus and Hocking Valley Railroad Company.
July 19, 1881 stockholders proposed an August 20, 1881 meeting to consider consolidation of the Columbus and Hocking Valley Railroad Company, the Columbus and Toledo Railroad Company, and the Ohio and West Virginia Railway Company.
