Biographical notes:
Wadsworth Hall, one of the residence halls at Michigan Technological University in Houghton, Michigan was completed in 1958. It was named for Dr. M. E. Wadsworth, president of the Michigan Mining School (now Michigan Technological University) from 1887-1899 and housed nearly 1,000 students. At the time of its construction it was one of the largest residence halls in the nation. Some of its features included a dining room, student lounges, laundry facilities and mail service. As of 2011, the hall was recently renovated and is the largest hall on campus at 1/4 mile long and five stories high, with approximately 1,050 rooms available.
