Ernest Walter Walker

Biographical notes:

Ernest Walter Walker was educated at Clitheroe Grammar School and Southport College. He joined the RAF and was a member of the James Bay Geological Expedition, 1930-1931. In 1937 he published a proposal for a British Antarctic Expedition, which was to carry out Arial surveys and scientific research in Victoria Land and Oates Land. The expedition was cancelled in 1939 due to the outbreak of war.
