Biographical notes:
Civil engineer. Lisa Ackerman received her B.A. in Civil Engineering from Union College; her M.A. in Landscape Architecture from Harvard's Graduate School of Design; and is currently employed by HNTB Corporation in Boston. She is an active member of the American Society of Civil Engineering (ASCE) and in 1994, was given the ASCE Edmund Friedman Young Engineer of the Year award.
