Biographical notes:
Whaling vessel, out of Freetown, Mass., mastered by Elihu Gifford, on voyage from 14 July 1844-16 Feb. 1846 to the Western, Cornell, East Cape, Desolation, Vazquez, On the Line, Northwest Coast, and Near French Rock whaling grounds; owner-agent: Elnathan P. Hathaway; built at Waldoboro, Me., 1838; burned at Fiji to end this voyage on 16 Feb. 1846.
