Jacksonville, Ill. physician who was involved in the organization of the Illinois and Morgan County Medical Societies, editor of the "Journal of the Morgan County Medical Society", served as head of the Military Relief and Hospital Service for the American Red Cross Commission in Greece, 1918-1919, and wrote histories of Morgan County and medical practice. He worked diligently for improved medical education during his career. His father, Greene V. Black, has been known as the father of modern dentistry.
