Mack, George C.

Dates:
Active 1864
Active 1874

Biographical notes:

George C. Mack was a California educator. He was licensed to teach at Fairfield (1864) and correspondence from C.W. Childs, Superintendent of Schools in Solano County, indicates that he was still there in 1874, although two letters from California's first State Superintendent, John Swett, indicate that he was offered positions in Visalia and Napa (1865-66). That Mack was a Methodist is indicated by correspondence about church affairs from William Morrow, of Santa Clara, a trustee of the University of the Pacific (1871). There is no biography of George C. Mack in any history of Solano County.

From the description of Mack papers, 1864-1874. (University of the Pacific). WorldCat record id: 36860928
