Biographical notes:
Whaling vessel, out of Holmes Hole (later became Vineyard Haven), Mass., mastered by Frederick William Manter, on voyage 2 Sept. 1847-21 Apr. 1850, to the Hatteras, Cornell, Tonga, Japan, Coast of Kamchatka, East China Sea, Arctic Ocean, Southeast Atlantic, and other whaling grounds; agent-owner Thomas Bradley; built at New York, N.Y., 1835; captured and burned in 1863.
