Biographical notes:
Governor of Colorado 1889-1891. Denver lawyer, banker, business. Moved to Denver in May 1872. Built Cooper Building (17th & Curtis) 1891- 93. During his term as Governor, the cornerstone for the present state capitol building was laid.
