Biographical notes:
Francois Didier Petit de Villers (ca.1758-1841) was born in France and lived in Haiti. He was naturalized as an American citizen in Baltimore, Maryland in 1796. He arrived in Savannah, Georgia, in approximately 1803, where he worked as a merchant.
