First Universalist Society of Arlington, MA.

Biographical notes:

In 1822, a group called the Universalist Society of West Cambridge was formed, and in 1840 the First Universalist Society of West Cambridge was organized. This Society constructed a meeting house which was dedicated in 1841, and the first minister of this Society was the Reverend Josiah Crosby Waldo. In 1867, West Cambridge became known as Arlington, and in 1885 the First Universalist Society of Arlington was incorporated. In 1965, the First Congregational Parish (Unitarian) and the First Universalist Society of Arlington merged to form the present day First Parish Unitarian Universalist Church of Arlington.
