Biographical notes:

Zimri Lawrence, originally of Canaan, Conn., settled by the mid-1890s in Weybridge, Vt., where he appears to have been a large landowner. Zimri and his wife, Asenath Lawrence, had at least two sons, Zimri, Jr., who settled in Michigan and Edwin, who lived in Middlebury, Vt. Their daughters included Anna (Lawrence) Hopkins, Electa (Lawrence) Dickinson, who moved to West Stockholm, N.Y., Amanda (Lawrence) Buell, of Racine, Wis., and others named Betsey and Cornelia. Grandsons included James and Samuel Buell, both of whom enlisted in the U.S. Army, and Orren Dickinson.
