Biographical notes:
Whaling vessel, out of New Bedford, Mass., mastered by Frederick C. Taber, on voyage from 15 July 1840-21 July 1844 to the South Atlantic, Indian Ocean, South Pacific, Coral Sea, and Middle whaling grounds; owner-agent: Howland & Hussey; built at Rochester, Mass., in 1825; bought from New York in 1835; lost off Patagonia in 1845.
