Biographical notes:

James A. Baynes died on May 8, 1918 in France. He was part of the Lafayette Flying Corps, Aero Squadron, 103rd, in World War I. His father, Mr. James Bayne lived in Grand Rapids and owned the James Bayne Company, which specialized in photography.
