Composed 1913, for the competition of the Conservatoire de Musique, Paris, originally for flute and piano. Arranged for flute and orchestra 1923. First performance Casino, Dieppe, 1923, Ferté conductor. Originally dedicated to Professor Hennebains of the Paris Conservatory, a friend of the composer.--Cf. Fleisher Collection.
