Biographical notes:
Lance Corporal J. G. Burgess of Sydney served with the 6th Regiment, Australian Light Horse at Gallipoli and in the desert campaign against the Turks in Egypt and Palestine. He was repatriated at the end of the war and arrived in Australia in Dec. 1918.
