Biographical notes:
Kenon Woodall discusses tobacco price fixing and the reasons for the formation of the Night Riders during the first decade of the 20th Century. He describes activities of the Night Riders at Almo in Calloway County, Kentucky. He also describes the methods used to prevent the sale of tobacco to the American Tobacco Company such as barn burning, scraping of plant beds, tar and feathering of recalcitrant farmers.
