Biographical notes:

D. Antony Andrews-Jones was an economic geologist and a consultant in geological assessment and mining feasibility (1953-1996). He received a Bsc in Geology from the University of Durham, England in 1953 and took post graduate courses at the Colorado School of Mines, 1962-1963. He was the chief geologist for Anschutz Corporation (1975-1979), and manager of the Denison Mines Denver district office where he was principally concerned with gold and silver exploration in the Rocky Mountains, and the western United States (1981-1982). He worked primarily in western Africa, South America and the western United States doing geochemical exploration, managing minerals-oriented companies and analyizing mineral sites for governments. He was based in the Rocky Mountain area from 1972 until the mid 1990s. During the mid 1980s and 1990s he was a consultant for mining companies.
