Samuel Tankersley Williams (b. Aug. 25, 1897, Denton, Tex.-d. Apr. 26, 1984) served as Chief of Staff XXII Corps in 1945 and 1946 and Commanding General of 25th Division, Korea, in 1952 and 1953. In 1953 and 1954, he commanded the XXVI Corps, then the IX Corps in 1954 and the 4th Army in 1955. He retired from Army service in 1960.
