Shaw, John Valentine Wistar, Sir
Biographical notes:
Sir John Valentine Wistar Shaw was born in Derby in 1894 and educated at Repton. As a 2nd Lieutenant, Royal Engineers (Signals), he served on the Western Front from 1915 and in Egypt/Palestine from 1917, attached to the 7th Indian Division.
