Theodore Martin Alexander, Sr. (1909-2001), graduated from Morehouse College in 1931, operated insurance companies in Altanta and Washington D.C., and was an original partner in MARTA Insurance He was active in local and national politics and was a member of the Republican National Committee. He taught as an Adjunct Professor of Insurance at Howard University in Washington, D.C.
