Meek, Forrest B.
Biographical notes:
Meek was born in 1928 and graduated from Hastings High School in 1946. He served in the military after World War II, 1947-1948, and in the army rserves, 1947-1952. In 1986 he retired after teaching in public schools in Lansing, Kentwood, and Clare (Mich.) for 26 years. He served as the Clare County campaign chairman for Senator Robert Griffin during his 1976 re-election campaign. He is the author of several books concerning Clare and Clare County (Mich.) lumber camps and veterans. Copies of the books and the original papers of Senator Robert P. Griffin may be found in the Clarke Historical Library.
