Biographical notes:
Gordon Stimson was born in Los Angeles, Cal. in 1905. He completed four years of college and was working as an officer manager when he enlisted in the Army in March 1942 at Fort MacArthur, San Pedro, Calif. Stimson received an officer's commission following training at Fort Benning, Ga. He joined the 10th Mountain Division at Camp Hale, Colo. and served with the 86th Infantry Regiment. During combat operation in Italy, he was awarded the Bronze Star Medal. Following the war, Stimson worked as a mortgage banker and president of the firm of the Wallace Moir Company. He died in Carmel, Calif. in June 1982.
