Public Information renamed Public Information and Internal Communication.

Public Affairs Office renamed University Relations Office.

University Relations reorganized to include Development and Alumni Affairs, Public Information, and Publications.

Development Office moved to University and Student Affairs.

Development Office returned to University Relations.

University Relations renamed University Relations and Development.

University Relations and Development renamed Budget and University Relations. Government and Community Affairs became part of University Advancement.

Alumni Relations became part of the Development Office.

Chancellor's Club became part of the Development Office.
1988
Annual Fund became part of the Development Office.
1989
UCI Campaign, College of Medicine Community Affairs and Development, and Resource Management became part of University Advancement. Publications renamed Publications and Marketing, and Communications renamed Campaign Communications.
1990
Resource Management renamed Budget and Resource Management.
1991
Annual Fund renamed Annual Giving.
1995
Government and Community Affairs split into Governmental Relations and Corporate and Community Relations. Prospect Management became part of University Advancement.
1997
Corporate and Community Relations renamed University Relations.
1998
Finance and Administration became part of University Advancement and oversaw Budget and Resource Management, Gift Administration, UCI Foundation Administration, Information Systems, and Human Resources. Government Relations renamed Governmental Relations.
1999
University Relations renamed Corporate and Community Relations.
2000
Governmental Relations renamed Community Relations.
2001
Community Relations renamed Community and State Government Relations.
2002
Budget and Resource Management renamed Resource Planning and Administration. Alumni Relations and Community and State Government Relations combined to become Alumni and External Relations.
2003
Alumni and External Relations became Alumni Relations and UCI Alumni Association, and Community and Government Relations.
2005
Communications Office removed from University Advancement and began reporting directly to the Office of the Chancellor.
