Brundage, Alfred C.
Biographical notes:
Alfred C. Brundage of Delaware Co., Ohio was appointed assistant surgeon of the 32nd Regiment of Ohio Infantry in Sept. 1861. The regiment was assigned to the Dept. of West Virginia. It was captured in Sept. 1862 at Harper's Ferry, paroled and sent to Chicago, Ill. and then to Cleveland, Ohio. In Jan. 1863, following trials of the commanding officers, the regiment was re-organized and assigned to 17th Army Corps. It took part in the Vicksburg campaign and later joined Sherman's army in Georgia. Brundage was promoted to Surgeon in Jan. 1863. In Sept. 1964, he resigned his commission.
