Biographical notes:

Richard Field Maynard (1875-1964) earned his Harvard AB 1898. While an undergraduate at Harvard he was a member of the Cercle Français and the Harvard Sketch Club, he was on the Board of Editors for the Lampoon and he contributed several stories to the Harvard Advocate. He became an artist and writer.
