Biographical note: Levi C. Udall, Arizona State supreme court justice, was born in St. Johns in 1891 and lived there all his life. His father, David K. Udall, founded the town of St. Johns.

Levi Stewart Udall was born in St. Johns, Apache County, Arizona in 1891. After being an attorney for some years, he became Judge for the Superior Court in 1931. His children have also had prominent careers. He died in 1960.
