Biographical notes:
South Carolina family. Ernest Henry Pringle (1849-1922), a prominent banker of Charleston, S.C., was the father of Ernest Henry Pringle, Jr. (1881-1955), a Charleston businessman and vice-president of the Bank of Charleston. In 1906 Ernest H. Pringle, Jr. married Nellie Thomas McColl of Bennettsville, S.C., the daughter of banker Duncan Donald McColl (1842-1911) and his wife Nellie Thomas McColl.
