American Lutheran Church (Richey, Mont.)

Biographical notes:

American Lutheran Church of Richey was formed on July 15, 1928 when Rev. B. J. Hatlem of Circle met with a croup of Lutherans in the Odd Fellows Hall to form a new congregation.

In 1931 property was purchased and a church erected. The church was financed in part by a loan from the Church Extension Fund. On May 11, 1931, Articles of Incorporation were drawn up and the congregation became an official organization.

First Lutheran of Lambert was added to this parish on September 4, 1932.

A parish hall was added to the church in 1968, and the interior of the church was remodeled in 1971. The parsonage was added at that time as well.
