Sklarz family

Biographical notes:

Robert B. Sklarz ("Bob") was born on November 9, 1920, the son of Milton and Elsie Sklarz of Brooklyn, New York. His younger brother William ("Billy") served in the United States military during World War II. Robert Sklarz enlisted in the United States Army Air Forces on September 28, 1942, and underwent basic training in Atlantic City, New Jersey. Sklarz was stationed at Chanute Field, Illinois; Miami Beach, Florida; Ypsilanti, Michigan; Kearns, Utah; and New Orleans, Louisiana. In July 1944, Sklarz was sent overseas, and served with units including a B-25 bombing group in New Guinea, the Philippines, Okinawa, and Japan until December 1945. After the war, Sklarz lived in Camarillo, California, where he was a high school history teacher. Robert B. Sklarz died on November 22, 2004.
