Biographical notes:
Biographical note: Geologist, mining engineer, and educator; Clifton Sarle was professor of geology at the University of Arizona from 1918 to 1924. He left to work privately as a mining engineer. Sarle conducted geological surveys to owners or potential owners of land where they hoped mining deposits would be found.
