Education: Trained as a goldsmith at the National School of Arts, apprenticed himself to a French photographer, Gerard Guillat Career: Opened Studio Malick, in Bamako, 1962; President of the Malian Photographers Union, 1988. Awards: The Hasselblad Photography Award, 2003
