A resident of the New York City and East Chatham, New York, writer Carl Bakal (1918-2004) authored several books on a number of topics, such as the right to own firearms in the United States and charities. His publications include How to Shoot for Glamour (1955), The Right to Bear Arms (1966), and Charity U.S.A: An Investigation into the Hidden World of the Multi-billion dollar charity industry (1979).
