Louise Woods was elected to the Board of Education in 1995 (though she had run for election in earlier years) and was the representative from District Four. Among the issues she dealt with as a member of the CMBE were the Capacchione court case; a rapidly growing student population; increasing ethnic diversity; equitable school funding; academic extracurricular after school activities; and the availability of advanced placement courses in each school. Mrs. Woods completed her career on the CMBE in November of 2005.
