Taylor, Bill, 1944-1995.
Biographical notes:
Bill Taylor (1944-1995) joined PATCO in 1969 and set up the "PATCO Lives" Hotline on the day the strike began in August 1981. After the 1981 strike, PATCO continued to struggle against the FAA for better working conditions, and Bill Taylor worked to keep the 11,000 members of PATCO united after they were fired, staying with PATCO until his death. He made weekly taped messages and a monthly newsletter. Also, he reported on attempts to rehire strikers. The "PATCO Lives" Hotline, which he established, relayed information if someone needed financial or emotional support.
