Biographical notes:

Trinidad, Colo. physician. Born in Lewiston, Pa. on Feb. 25, 1833. Began medical practice Pocahontas, Ark. Served as both a member of the confederate and union armies during the Civil War, later served as a military surgeon based in Neb. and Mo. Moved to Denver, Colo. (1868) and eventually relocated to Pueblo and then Trinidad, Colo. (1879). Served as county coroner, Colo. state representative, and school superintendent of Los Animas County, Colo. Was involved in various business ventures during his lifetime. Died in Trinidad, Colo. on Sept. 5, 1907.
