Biographical notes:

John Larrabee (brother of Iowa's 12th governor, William Larrabee) moved to Iowa from Connecticut in 1849. He returned to Connecticut where he married Ardelia Burnham. The couple returned to Iowa in 1852 where John died in September of that year of dysentery.
