Law student at University of Michigan, later Democratic Congressman, 1891-1895, and Justice of the Michigan Supreme Court.

Attorney, Bay City, Mich.; congressman, Mich. Supreme Court Justice.

Born in Ballygarret, Ireland Jan. 1, 1850, came with his parents to Ohio. Entered U. of M. Law School in 1871; and was admitted to the bar in Detroit. April 18, 1873, established law office in Bay City, elected prosecutor in 1877, mayor in 1883. Served 2 terms in Congress, settled in Detroit in 1895. Appointed Justice of the Supreme Court in 1833. Active in the Ancient Order of Hibernians and pres. of Mich. Hist. Society. Had a large collection, of material on Napoleon and wrote on Michigan history. Married Mary E. Tarsney in Saginaw in 18th and had six children: Thomas J. Isabel Francis (Mrs. R. L. Morrison), Mrs. Monica Porter, Lewis J. and Paul. His first wife died in 1889 and he married Nannie E. Curtiss and had one son George P. She died in 1927. T. A. E. Weadock died in Detroit Nov. 18, 1938. (B.H.C. Biog. file) (blue index cards)
