Association of Southern Agricultural Workers
Biographical notes:
The Association of Southern Agricultural Workers was founded in 1899. In 1973 the name was changed to Southern Association of Agricultural Scientists. The association's purpose is to promote scientific agriculture in the American South. Membership includes workers, educators, and government or commercial employees who devote time to agricultural development. The association is comprised of a number of sections, including Agricultural Economics, Forestry, and Marketing, and holds an annual convention every February.
