Roberto Guardia Berdecio was born in Oct. 20, 1910 in Sucre, Bolivia. Berdecio was a muralist who was acquainted with such artists and writers as Diego Rivera, Frida Kahlo, Juan O'Gorman, David Alfaro Siqueiros, Pablo Neruda, Leopoldo Méndez and many others. Berdecio was involved with such socialist organizations as Taller Gráfica Popular (TGP) and Liga de Escritores y Artistas Revolucionarios (LEAR).

Biographical/Historical Note
David Alfaro Siqueiros was a leading member of the Mexican muralist movement and a technical innovator of fresco and wall painting. His ideological differences with Diego Rivera attracted much attention in the 1930s.
