Mr. Charles A. Wheeler was a member of the 1888 graduating class of the Storrs Agricultural School . In 1897, he returned to his alma mater, now the Storrs Agricultural College, as an instructor in mathematics. Over the years, Mr. Wheeler's responsibilities increased to include free-hand drawing and surveying as well as those associated with being the College Engineer (1915-1930). His wife, Maude K. Wheeler taught Domestic Science (Home Economics) at the College from 1898 to 1900. He retired, a Professor of Mathematics in 1930.
