Biographical notes:

Mary MacKinlay was headmistress of Brisbane Girls' Grammar School from 1878 to 1881. In 1882 she married Sir James Dickson, Premier of Queensland from 1898 to 1899. She died on 22 February 1902.

Born in 1930, Richard A. Moore received his Masters in Landscape Architecture degree from the University of Oregon in 1957. Moore took up a landscape architecture practice in Raleigh, North Carolina, where he operated through his firm, Megatech Incorporated. He was also Associate Professor and Head of Landscape Architecture, 1962-1967, at North Carolina State University's School of Design, after which he moved on to Honolulu, Hawaii to work with Eckbo, Dean, Austin & Williams.
